Meatballs Recipe for Dogs

This is a great way to please your dog who had grown tired of the usual dry food diet. Beyond the meatball styling, is the pumpkin recipe with is a stool softener – important for senior dogs – and oat bran – fiber, which helps with healthy digestion.


  • 10 lbs ground beef (lean)
  • 3 slices of bread, cubed small
  • 2 cups of oat bran
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cans pumpkin puree
  • Some salt
  • 4 carrots, boiled/steamed and mashed
  • Flour
  • Leaves of 4 kale stalk chopped finely


  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Stir until contents are well-mixed and form to preferred size of balls.
  • Dredge the balls lightly in flour and shake off any excess.
  • Place the balls in 400 degree F oven until done. Bake time may vary depending on the size of your meatballs. About 25 minutes on average with the size of donut holes.
