Christmas Dog-Friendly Candy Bark Recipe

You can’t go past the original and the best homemade candy bark when you think of Christmas dog treats. This Christmas treat is made with all dog friendly ingredients without a candy cane or piece of chocolate in sight. A quick and easy recipe that you and your dog will share.

 

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 2 ½ Cups Plain Yogurt Drops
  • 2 ½ Cups Natural Carob Drops
  • 75g Fresh Raspberries

Raspberries is a good source of dietary fibre and contains a low energy density, allowing your dog to enjoy the treat while leaving them fuller for longer.

Instructions:

  • Line an 11x7x2 inch pan with baking paper.
  • In a small heat safe bowl over boiling water, melt the carob drops and stir constantly.
  • Pour the melted carob evenly into pan. Make sure the bottom surface is fully covered.
  • Place in the refrigerator to set. Chill for approximately 30 minutes or until it is firm.
  • Melt the yogurt drops in a small heat safe bowl over boiling water and stir constantly.
  • Pour ½ melted yogurt on top of the carob layer.
  • Scatter raspberries and coconut throughout the pan mixture. Then pour the remaining yogurt on top and spread evenly.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator to set. Chill for approximately 45 minutes or until firm.
  • Break into pieces and serve it your pooch.
